Worship at Thorney Abbey

The main Sunday service is at 11am each week Remembrance Sunday at Thorney Abbey

The main service is a Sung Eucharist, except on the 2nd Sunday of the month when there is a more informal Family Service. The Scout group that meets in Thorney regularly takes part in this service.

On the 2nd sunday of the month there is a service of Holy Communion at 8am.


The music at the Abbey is led by an Honorary Musical Director and there is a choir of around twelve adult voices. There is also a junior singing group. 

Midweek services

On Wednesdays each week, at 9.30am, there is a short service of Morning Prayer.

We would like to reassure parents and guardians that the safety of children and vulnerable adults is taken very seriously at Thorney Abbey, that all church officers and volunteers are CRB checked and that we follow the Diocesan guidelines to ensure that everyone is kept as safe as possible whilst in our care.
